Job Summary

The Account Manager I is a customer interfacing position providing the conduit between outside sales, demand creation, and operational execution.  This position is responsible for preparing detailed proposals of Chemtec equipment, systems, and services while building and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

(Essential Functions)

  • Oversees the management of customer accounts while ensuring customers are consistently satisfied with Chemtec’s products and services.
  • Works closely with outside sales, receiving customer inquiries and RFQ packages, to understand and advise customers on competitive and creative offerings tailored to meet their needs
  • Builds customer relationships based on trust and industry knowledge of measurement best practices
  • Responds to customer requests professionally, thoroughly, and accurately in a timely manner
  • Works closely with customers to develop a cost-effective option while maximizing company profitability
  • Foster and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners
  • Coordinate internal resources to support constructing the quote/proposal
  • Establishes strong relationships with internal and external customers as well as suppliers to ensure quote cost estimates are as accurate as possible
  • Attempts to Interpret complex specification documents, then asks for assistance.
  • Resolves customer issues as they arise, asking for assistance when needed.
  • Identifies and escalates cross-selling or upselling opportunities when possible
  • All other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, & License Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Experience in the energy or adjacent industry, with an understanding of oil and gas metering systems preferred.
