Job Summary:

Responsible for cutting and joining mild or stainless steel, and other materials, and equipment operation for assembly of structures with precision.   

Responsibilities:

1. Participate in all safe start meetings.

2.  Must be familiar with API1104 and ASME B31.1 through B31.8 Weld Procedures.

3. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

4. Follow and initiate 5S standards to maintain work area.

5. Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specifications

6. Layout, design and fabricate metal parts using numerous different tools, equipment and techniques.

7.  Welding, cutting, fitting, bending and assembling of metal parts.

8. Tack weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)

9. Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.

10. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

11. Complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified.

12. All other duties as assigned. 

Education/Experience:

• HS Diploma or equivalent

• 1 to 2 years proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment

• Related degree from a technical college, a preferred

• Meet all Pipe Fitter I Requirements and Skills
